CBD for Sleep – How does it work?
Getting enough sleep is crucial for a person to maintain optimal health and well-being. When it comes to health, sleep is as imperative as regular exercise and eating a balanced diet. In this modern day living in the United States, the necessity for a full night’s sleep is not always embraced. Living a fast paced, work-filled life is generally the picture of the “American Dream,” making little room for the full 8 hours of sleep an adult should be getting.
When we make a point to get adequate sleep each night many areas of our lives can greatly improve. We may have better productivity and concentration, lower weight gain risk and diminish chances of overeating, perform better athletically, lower risk of heart disease, prevent depression, improve the immune system, and more! Good rest does not always come easily and sometimes you need a little help catching those Zzz.
ZuRI-Sleep Enters the Chat
Here at ZuRI we recognize the importance of taking care of yourself and that making rest a priority is a box you MUST check off. With that in mind, we created ZuRI-Sleep for those nights where your mind just does not seem to want to shut off. ZuRI-Sleep is formulated with melatonin, a hormone your body naturally makes, that plays a large role in your sleep-wake cycle. Naturally when melatonin is present or released in the body, it signals to our brain that it’s time for sleep.
Melatonin’s companion in this product is CBD. CBD interacts with the receptors of the endocannabinoid system (ECS) of the human body. The ECS plays a homeostatic role in your health. It balances your body’s processes for your overall wellness, including but not limited to, healthy sleep patterns. Similar to melatonin, our bodies naturally produce compounds called cannabinoids, which are the keys to balancing the ECS. CBD, which is a cannabinoid from the hemp plant, works in tangent with your body’s natural cannabinoids to bring synergy to your ECS. Essentially it encourages homeostasis so that your body will be prepared for a full night of rest.
